Guidelines to Ensure Successful Rebanding

Motorola is able to provide our systems customers with a number of different services to accomplish rebanding.

• Understand individual system specifics
• Generate a customized plan for your system
• Review/establish an extended network of support services
• Obtain validation of network operation after completion of rebanding

Customized Management Services

• Inventory - as needed
• Assessment of existing equipment
• Can it be Retuned / Reprogrammed?
• Must it be Updated or Replaced?
• Evaluate the impact to your operation
• Evaluate impact on interoperability with neighboring systems
• Develop cost information
• Coordinate with Transition Administrator
• Provide overall Project Management

Available Engineering Services

• Baseline current system operation Including Coverage ATP - as needed (esp. simulcast and/or wide area systems)
• System Design
• Frequency compatibility
• Intermod (IM) studies
• Detailed cut over plan
• Method of Procedure (MOP)

Perform System Rebanding

• Coordinate/Execute
• Subscriber changes
• Infrastructure changes
• Site upgrades and antenna systems installation (when necessary)
• Perform final Acceptance Test Plan
