Long Distance, Rate Adaptive Ethernet Bridge
Rate adaptive link management suppports broadband delivery across distances up to 27,000 feet. One or two pairs of telephone-grade or data-grade wire can be used depending on bandwidth requirements.
Local or Remote Management
Units can be locally managed and configured using RS232 connections or remotely controlled via Telnet or SNMP. Standard or enterprise MIBS are supported via SNMP.
Reduced Engineering Time and Installation Costs
Network engineering time is significantly reduced as simple telephone-grade cable, which in many cases already exists, can be used to provide broadband IP connectivity to/from remote devices. The cost and expense of trenching new fiber to extend Ethernet can often be eliminated.
