Deliver power for remote devices such as PoE wireless access points (APs) and POE cameras. XLP-6800 PowerBroadband combines the power of PoE and Ethernet over UTP wire up to 10,000 feet away.

Managed Power Delivery: Automatic fault detection and per-port power priority ensure reliable, safe delivery of essential power to remote locations. Monitor the power consumption of the system to maintain a high uptime for critical devices.

Managed Broadband: XLP-6800 is rate adaptive and intelligent — from 5 Mbps to 75 Mbps. Symmetrical Ethernet speeds and high reliability make the XLP ideal as a fiber alternative. Manage the system using Telnet, SNMP or an intuitive webUI.

Support

Long Distance Power and Rate-Adaptive Ethernet
Reliable power and IP connectivity can be delivered across distances up to 10,000 feet over just 2 pairs of UTP wire.  A second 2 pairs of wire allow even greater power to be delivered.  Rate adaptive options support up to 75 Mbps full-duplex.


Standard PoE Interfaces for IP Cameras and Wi-Fi Access Points
One or two remote IEEE 802.3af devices are supported over each 2 or 4 pairs of wire.  Total available power is a function of distance and gauge of wire.


Power Management for Total Control
Individual priorites can be set for each remote device to ensure that critical devices maintain full power under degraded conditions.  PoE device type and power usage statistics can be queried remotely.  Automatic short and fault protection provide extra safety.


Reduced Engineering Time and Installation Costs
Network engineering time is significantly reduced as simple telephone-grade cable, which in many cases already exists, can be used to provide both power and IP connectivity to remote devices.  The cost and expense of trenching new fiber can often be eliminated.
