Optimize your IP networks to maximize mobility solution performance…and success The performance and return on investment (ROI) of your entire mobility solution is directly tied to the ability of your IP networks to support your mobile devices and applications. Are your core IP networks ‘mobility-ready’? Motorola’s IP Network Services ensure that your local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) or both are designed to handle the unique needs associated with mobility by answering many questions, including:
- Does your network have ample bandwidth to support the communications demands of mobile devices and the applications resident on those devices?
- Can your network meet latency and jitter requirements to ensure sufficient service quality for voice applications?
- With the addition of mobile devices and mobile services, will the security level of your IP networks remain compliant with enterprise policies?
These ‘a-to-z’ services leverage Motorola’s 75 years of wireless expertise to assist you with every phase of preparing your IP networks to support your enterprise mobility initiatives — from assessment and design through implementation — effectively enabling smooth and rapid deployment and adoption of your mobility solution.
Phase 1—Assessment: Assess your existing infrastructure Motorola’s IP Network Assessment Service will help you determine if your current IP LAN/WAN is capable of supporting your planned new mobile devices and applications, as well as the required interconnection with new broadband or wireless networks. A thorough evaluation of your existing IP network infrastructure and policies is compared to the requirements for your new mobility solution. Assessment includes examination of current and planned facility layouts, physical and logical architectures as well as operational processes. Our final assessment report provides the details of any discovered gaps, as well as recommendations to close those gaps.
Phase 2—Design: Create a network design that works With your network needs and IP network constraints revealed during the assessment phase, Motorola’s IP Network Design Service provides the technical network design required to provide ample support for your planned mobility solutions. The deliverable for this phase is a complete network description document — a blueprint for the evolution of your IP networks — that includes architectural diagrams, a list of required equipment and estimated costs.
Phase 3—Integration: Implement your network upgrade With the completion of a network design that addresses constraints, you are now ready to upgrade your IP networks to support your mobility solution. Motorola’s IP Network Integration Service ensures that your network upgrade is rapid, cost-effective and trouble-free. Comprehensive staging services provide complete inventory, pre-configuration and testing of all network equipment, including the identification and resolution of any equipment or network design issues prior to on-site installation. As a result, the time — and cost — associated with on-site installation, integration and engineering are reduced.
Reduce your risk…and increase the return on investment for your mobility solutions With Motorola’s end-to-end IP Network Services, you can be sure that your IP networks are truly mobile-ready, able to provide the performance, availability, security, scalability, manageability and interoperability required from the first day your new mobility solution is deployed. The results are rapid user adoption as well as superior uptime for your IP networks, mobile devices, mobile applications and mobile users. The enterprise reaps the benefits of mobility more rapidly, maximizing the return on investment — and the success of the entire mobility solution.
