Harmony MSO

Overview

MSO
  • MSO

The CompactMSO consists of the control and power cabinets central to Motorola’s Harmony Wireless Communication System. The small MSO footprint and comparatively low power draw make an ideal solution for operations with limited floor space while helping to minimize operations costs.

The control cabinet contains all of the hardware and software necessary to support dispatch and telephone interconnect call processing, network and alarm management and remote access. The power cabinet, a standard feature of the system, provides a continuous power supply with up to 8 hours of battery back up.

Features and Benefits

State-of-the-art digital communication
Provides unsurpassed digital radio frequency (RF) efficiency by utilizing TDMA (Time-Division Multiple Access) technology, the iDEN™ Integrated Digital Enhanced Network, cell site and subscriber unit technology to achieve up to six simultaneous conversations on one 25kHz channel.

Simplified operations and maintenance
Because the system is equipped with both a local management console and a remote access server that allows dial-up access from anywhere, there is no need to maintain on-site personnel at all hours.

Fast and easy installation
The MSO is integrated at Motorola’s manufacturing facility and can be activated on site within a few days. The entire system can be operational within a week’s time depending on the number of sites installed with the system.

Continuous power supply
Eight hours of battery backup ensure a continuous power supply.

Scaleable architecture for wide area coverage
Customizable to include up to 480 cells and 50,000 users.

Interoperability with existing systems:
Connects to existing private branch exchange (PBX) voice-mail systems and IP Call Managers, integrates with existing enterprise networks, allows telephone and dispatch roaming on other HWCS or iDEN networks, and provides wireline interface with Motorola Console Solutions.

Advanced dispatch features
Emergency call, priority call, multiple simultaneous talkgroups, and isolated site operation.

Compact, space-saving footprint
The entire MSO takes up approximately eight square feet of floor space.
