AME 1000 Secure Mobile Telephony Solution Assured Security for Mobile Telephony

Overview

AME1000
You require highly secure voice communications as your staff relies more and more on mobile phones. That is why Motorola has partnered with Apriva to create the AME 1000 Secure Mobile Telephony Solution, which combines the benefits of hardware-based cryptography and certificate management with a software-based secure voice application and a commercial off-the-shelf mobile phone.

The AME 1000 combines the advanced encryption capabilities of our CRYPTR micro module, Apriva Voice™ secure communications software and our ES400 Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) to give you a portable, FIPS 140-2 Level 3 and NSA Suite B compliant device that operates on commercial cellular networks.

Features and Benefits

The encryption engine and trust anchor for the AME 1000 is our CRYPTR micro, a hardware-based encryption and key management device packaged in a microSD form factor. Key CRYPTR micro features include:
  • Increased data security, as critical crypto-algorithms are executed and keys are stored in a tamper-protected module
  • Hardware-based Random Number Generation (RNG) for high-performance in generating keys
  • Full NSA Suite B support including AES and Elliptic Curve Cipher Suites
  • FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Validated for government applications

Apriva Voice is a NSA Suite B application that provides a secure telephony capability interoperable with the Secure Communications Interoperability Protocol (SCIP) family of products. Key features of Apriva Voice software include:
  • Standards-based Interoperability, including support for NSA Suite B SCIP 231, DTLS/SRTP and SIP
  • Support for both clear and secure calls, with easy certificate viewing and one-button secure transition from clear to secure call
  • Phone contacts and call history integration, letting users easily place a secure call to someone in the phone directory or securely return a recent call

The AME 1000 is based on the ES400 Enterprise Digital Assistant: a compact, durable, powerful and versatile handheld device that can connect to both GSM and CDMA cellular networks.
