The Mobile Computing Division (MCD) of Motorola Solutions is pleased to offer a new line of accessories through a unique network of partnerships with Independent Hardware Vendors, to complete the ecosystem of solutions for the Mobile Computing portfolio.

Whether you're a hardware provider with components that complement Motorola Solutions products or you're a reseller looking to extend your customer’s hardware functionality with third-party peripherals, the Motorola Solutions Independent Hardware Vendor (IHV) Program is something you need to know about. The Motorola Solutions IHV Program is an effective vehicle for developing and marketing fully integrated third-party products and components that enhance and extend enterprise mobility solutions to meet application specific needs. These accessories have been developed by our IHV partners with Motorola support in an effort to ensure that Motorola Solutions and its partners continue to develop the most advanced Mobile Computing solutions available. These IHV accessories are reviewed and tested to ensure seamless operations with the associated Motorola terminals and are given one of two distinct designations; Motorola Solutions Compatible or Motorola Solutions Validated.

Motorola Solutions Compatible accessories are thoroughly tested for interface requirement compliance and functionality to ensure they do not hinder the performance of the host terminal.

Motorola Solutions Validated accessories go one step further, in addition to being compatible; they are also rigorously tested to ensure the performance of the peripheral to its own specifications and have obtained their respective legal regulatory approvals. Motorola Solutions Validated products are entitled to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support from Motorola Solutions.

These products are sold — and in some cases, incorporated into a solution by Motorola's global network of channel partners, or directly by the hardware Vendors, while Tier 1 and Tier 2 support is provided by Motorola for the Motorola Solutions Validated products.

The Motorola Solutions Independent Hardware Vendor Program builds bridges among members of the program by enabling them to easily identify other companies whose products are compatible with their own. Motorola Solutions Independent Hardware Vendor Program, along with Motorola's Solutions co-marketing efforts and support services, identifies these products as accessible and attractive to both resellers and end users.
