Features and Benefits

Voice and data combined

Simultaneous Voice and Data
Dimetra LiTE and Motorola TETRA radios, have the capability to easily interface with applications and transmit voice and data simultaneously, to exchange important information faster.

SDS Text Messaging
Data messaging, inherent in Dimetra LiTE, allows for the efficient exchange of information without the need to talk. Sending information via text ensures it is received, even if an operator is away from the radio, and overcomes the restrictions of using voice in noisy environments or when hearing protection is worn.

Secure digital network

Private talk groups
Dimetra LiTE lets you create private talk groups so that only the people you give access to can listen in.

Network security
Dimetra LiTE keeps your transmission secure and stops unauthorised people from listening in.

Compact in size. Superior in performance
Dimetra LiTE is designed with customers in mind – providing low cost of ownership, migration capabilities, easy maintenance and robust durability to handle all your technology worries, so you can focus on your mission and not the technology.
Employing a web-based graphical interface, Dimetra LiTE is easy to install, operate, deploy and maintain. Its compact form factor can be wall mounted.
Dimetra LiTE operates on Ethernet connections enabling configuration, system monitoring, diagnostics alert and management of the network, remotely or onsite.
A robust and reliable platform, Dimetra LiTE base stations (MTS) provide wireless communication onsite. At the heart of each base station is a site controller which manages the local tasks delegated by the Dimetra LiTE main switch, such as subscribers’ registration.
It runs the intelligence on-site independently, taking over control of the communication if the link to the main switch is disrupted. This ensures communication remains available to users at all times.
Dimetra LiTE optimises your existing communication infrastructure. It can interface with existing TETRA base stations and radios, and has the capability to make progressive migration from an analogue network seamless.Dimetra LiTE’s features include

Superior digital voice clarity
Dimetra LiTE and Motorola TETRA radios give you superior voice quality. Digital systems incorporate advanced error correction techniques that reconstitute voice at nearly its original fidelity throughout the coverage area.
Digital Two-Way
Dimetra LiTE and Motorola TETRA radios give you digital two-way communication, one-to-one or in groups. The digital technology means that caller ID is included and the call set-up time is virtually instant.

Telephone Interconnect

Emergency button with GPS locator
Integrating the emergency button in Motorola TETRA radios with GPS also means that employees can be located quickly on a map, so help can be sent in an emergency, in addition to the radio handset’s alarm.
The Dimetra LiTE system also features pre-emptive priority calls and busy user pre-emption to ensure emergency calls can be sent and received without delay.
