The Motorola CDMA Picocell provides and excellent solution for hole-fill, in-building coverage and deployment at carrier seams. This non-redundant BTS enables connection directly to antenna distribution systems via it's duplexed output port providing 2W of transmit power. The high carrier count of the Picocell coupled with the Frequency Hopping Pilot Beacon feature enables this new BTS to provide smoother transitions between high and low carrier coverage areas.
With the optional 20W power amplifier the Picocell can also provide rural coverage in a low cost configuration. The Picocell also supports the island mode configuration which can be used in areas where running a GPS cable is difficult or prohibitively expensive.
