Motorola’s global presence and leadership in WiMAX deployments positions us to connect network operators and device manufacturers to the worldwide WiMAX ecosystem. Once a device passes Motorola’s IOT program, you can be confident that the device is compliant with a Motorola system and able to operate in a commercial environment. Motorola’s IOT program is open to all WiMAX device manufactures and provides a means to validate products on a true Motorola WiMAX network.
Motorola has two dedicated IOT labs – one in North America and one in Taiwan. Each lab can support simultaneous testing by multiple devices.

Motorola provides two levels of IOT. Level 1 IOT focuses on basic WiMAX conformance between the client device and the Motorola WiMAX network. Level 1 examines the key WiMAX features and provides a pass/fail assessment. Level 1 testing is ideal to prove prototype designs, to verify chipsets and to validate unique WiMAX packaging solutions.
Level 2 IOT rates how well a product works. Level 2 testing includes collecting benchmarking data on key performance parameters. This testing is ideal for products that are preparing for commercial use. Successful completion of Level 1 is required for submission for Level 2 IOT.
Devices that pass Motorola IOT will be eligible for inclusion in our IOT catalog and will be visible to WiMAX Operators around the world.
