Based on the industry leading and field proven Super Cell (SC) architecture, the SC4812T-MC base station incorporates all of the features and functionality of the SC4812T product, with the added benefit of Multicarrier LPA operation. This product addresses the need for scalable power, delivers improvements in operation efficiency and an increase in deployment flexibility.
Multicarrier operation enables dynamic power allocation across both sectors and carriers for maximum power efficiency and flexibility. RF power is allocated across all sectors and carriers based on traffic loading. Likewise, channel pooling across carriers and sectors allow channel resources to be dynamically allocated based on traffic loading. This allows the cell site to handle traffic that would otherwise go unserved. The result is an increase in operational flexibility, higher effective power, and a higher grade of service.
Utilizing common cards and software, the SC4812T-MC can simultaneously support IS-95, 1X, and 1xEV-DO traffic.
