Overview

MeshPlanner
  • MeshPlanner
  • MeshPlanner

Design outdoor wireless mesh networks efficiently and cost-effectively with Motorola's MeshPlanner software.

Optimised to work with Motorola MOTOMESH products, MeshPlanner allows designers to create networks on their PC and validate performance with the software's measurement functionality, eliminating the costly on-site work that accompanies traditional site survey-based design methods. This reduces labour and planning costs and enables quicker implementation of a high-performance network.

Features and Benefits

RF-intelligent
Creates an RF-intelligent map by importing:
  • a digital elevation model in GeoTIFF format
  • deployment drawing via satellite image
  • scanned image or digital photograph
  • buildings, structures or foliage in ESRI shape file format
  • clutter data in GeoTIFF format; and equipment mounting locations in .TXT format

Network modelling
Enables quick and efficient modelling of wireless mesh networks in various deployment environments, frequencies (unlicensed 2.4, 5.4 and 5.8 GHz and licensed 4.9 GHz) and scales.

RF planning
Provides intuitive and precise predictive RF planning capabilities to ensure optimal signal coverage, network capacity and quality of service (QoS).

Interference testing
Connects to the Anritsu MS2721 spectrum analyzer for precise interference testing across frequencies from 100kHz to 7GHz.

Accurate measurements
Intelligent interface to Motorola's WMC6300, WMC7300 and standard wireless modem cards enables accurate network performance and QoS measurements.

Real-time flexibility
Adapt, visualise in 3D and test deployment models in real time based on changes in network or user requirements, expansions to coverage and physical environment.

Google Earth visualisation
Share design and measurement files for visualisation within the free Google Earth viewer.

Cost effective
Delivers reduced labour, lower planning costs and fast implementation of wireless mesh networks.
