Easy-to-use and simple-to-install, Motorola SURFboard digital voice gateways support simultaneous telephone and data usage so subscribers can make telephone calls over a broadband Internet connection. Voice traffic is prioritized over data and Internet traffic, and consumers benefit from high-quality voice services and can avoid the cost and complexity of buying standalone routers, hubs, and wireless access points. New subscribers requesting voice and data services can be issued a single platform, such as the SBV5222 SURFboard Digital Voice Modem — or the SVG2500 SURFboard Wireless Voice Modem, which includes LAN ports and supports wireless voice and data services at the customer premises location. Data subscribers requesting new voice services could select an RSG2500/RSGu3502 and benefit from seamless mobile and landline voice integration. Motorola also offers service assurance solutions to enhance operations and support broadband VoIP services while minimizing truck rolls.

The Motorola NBBS Device Management System enables support for broadband gateways and devices behind the gateway — from a single gateway or device to thousands. The same operational efficiencies and cost savings can be extended from the gateway to the subscriber’s desktop with eCare, Motorola's web-based on-demand remote support application.

eCare allows technical support staff to reach out over the web and resolve customers’ problems through a browser-based interface to the subscriber’s desktop. Powerful, interactive, permission-based features combined with robust security and real-time reporting deliver a customer care solution that improves support center efficiencies and creates happy broadband VoIP customers.
