The ASTRO^® 25 with High Performance Data is an innovative wireless system that delivers rapid mobile intelligence with greater speed and more efficient spectrum use.

It is the first wireless data system to provide 96 kbps of data in the current private radio frequency band. It operates in both 700 and 800 MHz, using the standard 25KHz channel allocations.

Performance exceeds any wireless wide-area technology. Designed to meet the special needs of private data networks, ASTRO 25 HPD brings rapid intelligence to decisions made in the field.

ASTRO 25 High performance Data (HPD) is flexible and cost effective providing wide-area coverage to support graphics and text based applications. HPD can work as a standalone system or integrate with an ASTRO 25 network for an integrated voice and data network.

ASTRO 25 Integrated Voice & Data Network
Motorola's Project 25 standards based mission-critical network, provides integrated voice and data communications

HPD is an internet protocol (IP) network. HPD can pass data seamlessly with other IP-based networks providing access to application and data sources that are compatible with IP.

Integrated platform – HPD can be integrated into an ASTRO 25 voice network and configured as a standalone dedicated data network. Customers have the flexibility to build on to an existing ASTRO 25 network or start first with a new HPD network and later build on and ASTRO 25 voice network.

Enhanced Data Speeds – HPD provides 96kbps of data over a wide area network. It operates in the 700 and 800 MHz spectrum utilizing the standard 25KHz channel spacing.

HPD can leverage a customer's existing voice and or data infrastructures including towers, antennas or other site improvements to reduce the total cost of ownership. Motorola's system engineers can help determine the right site design to meet your needs.
