Updating your device software to the latest version can improve its performance and sometimes provide new features or functionality.
ANDROID PHONES AND TABLETS
Most Android software updates are available to download and install directly to your device using either your carrier’s network (Over-the-Air) or a Wi-Fi connection.
Motorola also offers alternative methods for updating your Android device. These methods require a computer and a USB cable to download and install the update.

iDEN PHONES
Our iDEN firmware update utility updates both Android and non-Android iDEN devices. Find your device in the table to download the corresponding update utility.
OTHER NON-ANDROID PHONES
Our Motorola Software Update tool is available to update a variety of other non-Android devices. To update your device, select your carrier and then select your phone model to view instructions and download the Motorola Software Update tool. If your device is not in the phone model list, it cannot currently be updated using this tool.
