As a key component of Motorola's RFoG solution, the ONU100 RFoG Optical Network Unit provides operators with the capability to deploy reliable all-fiber optical distribution networks that offer operational savings while leveraging existing investments in RF and DOCSIS technology.

Using standard HFC optical wavelengths, the ONU100 extends bi-directional services over RF frequencies up to 1.1 GHz, while eliminating HFC nodes, RF amplifiers and the long-term operating expenses associated with an active access network architecture. Maximizing investment protection, the ONU100 is transparent to head end and customer premises equipment, and compatible with today's operational and billing systems.
