The SE-5100/5050 high definition (HD)/standard definition (SD) platform combines receiver functions with advanced encoding technology to deliver CBR video services at the lowest bit rates.
In addition to supporting baseband video, this compact 1 RU platform offers support for analog off-air, ATSC digital terrestrial and direct MPEG-2 inputs. The receiver functions offer to dramatically enhance headend architectures, reducing box count and simplifying signal routing and redundancy support.
The IP-centric platform delivers flexibility, value and exceptional video quality from its advanced multi-pass encoding system. Since the platform is Linux-based, it is ideal for a variety of demanding CBR applications.
