OmniStar® GX2-HSG Chassis

OmniStar GX2 housing is designed for maximum density and flexibility. It is capable of accommodating up to 16 application modules in a 4RU shelf. A seventeenth slot in the housing is dedicated for the Control Module (GX2-CM100B). Two additional slots in the rear accommodate the AC and/or DC power supplies (120/240 Vac or -48 VDC).

In the OmniStar GX2-HSG, a midplane interface provides intermodule communication and power distribution. The rear panel is a configurable blind-mate, RF back-plane.

The GX2 offers several options for fiber management. For routing fiber along the front of the equipment rack, an optional shelf door (GX2-SDU*) neatly bundles and organizes 32 or more fiber strands.
