Architecture

The Motorola 1 GHz portfolio of products enables operators to provide additional bandwidth while maintaining the existing network investment. Motorola provides end-to-end 1 GHz products from optical transmitters and optical nodes to RF amplifiers and RF passives. The amplifiers and nodes are capable of being upgraded to mid-split (5-85 MHz) return path to increase upstream bandwidth for data and telephony.

The 1 GHz SG4000 optical node can be migrated to an all-optical, fibre deep node as additional segmentation is required. The Motorola 1 GHz STARLINE Series of RF Amplifiers include: the Broadband Telecommunications Amplifier (BT100), the Mini-Bridger Amplifier (MB100) and the Broadband Line Extender (BLE100). All three models are two-way capable and offer high gain, high output levels, ergonomics, superior distortion performance, multiple diplex filter options, 16 dB return loss and Bode equalisation. All three also support optional advanced features, including ingress control switching and status monitoring. The BT100 is a four-output amplifier and is also available in a three-output version. The MB100 is a dual-output amplifier that is also available in single-output version.
