Check your email. Check the stock market. Check in on Facebook®. Android™ lets you do it all — quickly. But what is Android, really?

Android is an open-source software platform. Open source means any developer can access the platform to customize it and to create apps. When you own a smartphone or tablet that runs on an open platform, it means there are more possibilities for you to tailor your device to fit your life.

We use Android on our smartphones and tablets, and so do many other device manufacturers.

But we think you’ll like Android on Motorola better. Why? We’ve customized the platform in several ways, to optimize your battery life and deliver seamless upgrades. Plus, everything runs  on our powerful processors. With the Android Market just one touch away, you have easy access to hundreds of thousands of apps.

Yes, Motorola brings to you some of the fastest, most reliable Android-powered smartphones and tablets on the market. See for yourself. Explore our Android smartphones and our Android tablets

Please don’t customize android. You do more harm than good. Slow updates have been a huge problem compared to pure android. And the bloatware that can’t be removed – it’s a shame
