With the Android™ 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade on your eligible Motorola devices, you get a whole lot of new features, some which you might not even know about.

We all love to search. How do I make crab cakes? Where is the closest theater showing that new blockbuster movie? What kind of saw should I use for my upcoming project? The problem is, our lives are so hectic, we often start things with a search, but forget to follow through because we closed the tab or it just got lost in the shuffle. Well with some of the cards available on Google Now with Android™ 4.1 Jelly Bean, your Google searches will pop up within a day or so to jog that memory back into place.

Besides the very helpful appointment, flight, public transit and many other info cards on your Google Now page, you can also enable the Movies, Research and Real Estate cards. After learning what you’re looking for based on your searches, the Google Now cards will act like your own personal assistant by reminding you about the things you’re already interested in. The cards will also offer additional recommendations that are related to your searches, like other recipes, because you can’t eat crab cakes every day.

And now your recently snapped photos will be ready for instant share to your connected  Google+ account in the expanded notifications menu. If you don’t want to share, simply swipe them away and they will be removed from notifications.

These are just a few of the enhancements available. Please visit the Jelly Bean tab on our new Android™ landing page.

With the YouTube Remote app, you can use your DROID RAZR MAXX HD by Motorola or other Motorola phones and tablets running Android 2.0 and above, as a remote control for YouTube videos on your computer or Internet TV. You can search, play, rewind and fast-forward, control the volume and more from you device.

It’s very easy to setup too, just go to Youtube.com/leanback on your computer or internet-enabled tv, and then navigate to My YouTube -> Pair with mobile device. You’ll have to enter a code on your computer or tv, and then one on your device, and that’s it.

When your friends also setup YouTube Remote, they can pair with your tv screen and share control of the playlist if you share your access code. Parties can now be a battle of the VJs with friends alternating the playlists, or just making it up as you go along with the search functionality.

If you see a video and you’re not sure who that actor or singer is, or you want to hear more songs from the current artist playing, you can click on the ‘Topic’ button for information about the videos you’re watching. YouTube remote lets you control the fun from anywhere in the room.

Parenting is hard work. Besides having to deal with our own careers, appointments and to-do lists, coordinating the routines of our children is of the utmost importance. Basketball practice, band recitals, overnights with the scout troop, there is a never-ending amount of things to keep track of and to be reminded of. Luckily, with the customizable SMARTACTIONS™app available on your DROID RAZR MAXX HD by Motorola, your kids will be confident they won’t be forgotten in their moments of need.

SMARTACTIONS is intuitive. It learns how you interact with your phone and makes suggestions for rules that will help organize your day. Of course you know your routine better than anyone, so you can always create rules from scratch, or customize the suggestions given.

Setting the meeting rule for the kids’ phones will make sure they won’t ring when in classes, unless it’s mom or dad calling with an emergency and vice versa. You might have an important meeting with the boss and have your meeting rule on, but if your kid has a crisis, the call or text will come through loud and clear. Be sure to tell your kids to save it for emergencies so your boss won’t have a problem with you being interrupted.

And whether you’re driving with rowdy kids, or have that teenager behind the wheel, you can enable the Drive Mode rule and when connected to your Motorola Bluetooth Headset or Vehicle Dock*. Your phone will recognize that you’re driving and launch turn-by-turn navigation, increase ringer volume, announce the names of incoming callers and auto-reply with a text message. Our Vehicle Docks and Bluetooth Headsets help you drive more responsibly while staying connected: use your voice to search for destinations, send texts or email, play music and more. Echo-cancellation and noise reduction make sure you’ll always be heard.

Make a tough job easier with the DROID RAZR MAXX HD and you’ll feel smarter and more confident in your parenting abilities.
