Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) makes adding and deleting widgets easy. To add a widget, just tap and hold it, then drag it to your home screen. To remove a widget, just tap and hold it, then drag it upward. How easy is that? This update is now available on your DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX, DROID 4 and DROID XYBOARD 10.1 by Motorola. Got a screenshot you want to share? Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) makes it easy. Just press and hold the power and volume-down keys simultaneously for a few seconds. Your screenshot is saved to your gallery and ready to share. You can also add a message if you like. How cool is that? Great news. As we type, Ice Cream Sandwich is rolling out to DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX. Owners: if you haven’t yet received the upgrade but can’t bear to wait, check your phone settings. Go to “About phone,” select “System updates” and you should see the upgrade available for download.

You’ve told us what’s important to you, and we’ve been listening.  In addition to all the great new features that Ice Cream Sandwich delivers to your smartphone, we are also making your DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX Global Ready with this upgrade – so you can talk, text, browse, email, and more with voice and data connectivity in over 220 countries.*

With this upgrade, everything gets just a little bit easier—and faster. Make a call, send a text or take a picture, right from the unlock screen. You can use the new face unlock feature where your phone will unlock with just a glance – no PIN or password! — but only for your face, and nobody else’s.

A select number of DROID RAZR by Motorola and DROID RAZR MAXX by Motorola owners will start receiving the upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich this week as part of our standard upgrade process; broader deployments will come over the coming days. While you wait, watch this short video highlighting some of the best new features that come with the new software.  You can also check out our “prepare and learn” pages so that you’ll be totally up to speed on all the latest features your smartphone is getting. There are plenty of videos explaining some of the coolest changes — which are all coming your way very soon.

By the way, the upgrade brings more than just Ice Cream Sandwich – it makes your DROID RAZR or DROID RAZR MAXX global ready!  They’re the first 4G LTE smartphones on the Verizon Wireless network that will be able to support voice and data service in more than 220 countries when you’re subscribed to an international plan.
