We’re happy to announce today that the Android™ 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade is rolling out to DROID 4 by Motorola owners in phases. This upgrade offers many features to help organize and make your life easier, including expanded notifications, Voice Search and Google Now. Here are some of the features included in the upgrade:
-
Expanded Notifications – So much to do and keep track of, so little time in the day. Now you can get reminders about important meetings from your calendar, like that big presentation you’re running late for. Email participants right from the notifications tab, so the there will never be a ball dropped with the client. These and many other notifications help organize your life, all right on your mobile..
-
Voice Search – Ask a question and get back the answer you’re looking for, ranging from “What is the weather today?, to “Where is the closest Thai restaurant?” or even “How far away is the moon?” You’ll either get a spoken response back or search results that answer your query.
- Google Now – With Google Now you get notifications generated automatically even before you ask as it learns what you search for the most. On a travel day, you can get the weather at both the departure and destination cities, traffic conditions to the airport to let you know if you should take public transit, which is also an available card, and when you arrive at the airport, your United Airlines boarding pass is there for you, ready to be scanned so you don’t have to dig through everything to find the paper version. What is normally a stressful event, is traveling made easy with Google Now cards guiding you every step of the way.
