Las Vegas is certainly not a candidate for America’s healthiest city. But the city played host to a marathon last weekend and the MOTOACTV team was on hand to show off MOTOACTV and give away a ton of free stuff.

The annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon drew 44,000 runners and thousands of spectators. At a companion Health and Fitness Expo, the MOTOACTV team were set up in a booth and gave an estimated 2,200 demos.

In an informal survey, the team asked people for their first impressions of MOTOACTV. Here are a few recurring comments:

  1. The accuracy of the GPS, and that it does not require a monthly subscription.
  2. The Smart Music Player – quick access to the songs that motivate you.
  3. The sleek look and feel of the device – especially compared to “clunky” Garmin devices.

MOTOACTV and MOTOACTV accessories are now on sale. Visit Motorola.com/MOTOACTV. You can also visit our MOTOACTV Facebook tab.

MOTOACTV pumps up the ING New York City Marathon

November 7, 2011 : BY Motorola

MOTOACTV, the ultimate fusion of music and fitness, went the distance this past weekend as the official entertainment partner of the ING New York City Marathon.

Some of the 90,000 marathoners and their supporting friends and family were the first to experience the heart pounding (and monitoring) amazingness of MOTOACTV.  We also partnered with fitness enthusiast and EXTRA! Host Mario Lopez, his trainer Jimmy Pena, and ultra-marathoner Dean Karnazes, who knows quite a bit about fitness after running across the United States in 2010. Each of them helped us, literally, bring MOTOACTV across the finish line.
A huge thanks to everyone who came out, checked out MOTOACTV and participated in the marathon.
