Exhausted (the good kind of exhausted).

That about sums up our weekend at SXSW this year, where we MAXXed out all weekend, met some amazing artists, rocked out with fun fans and went to some fabulous parties!

The atmosphere was unlike any other event we’ve ever attended. There was great music happening everywhere and food trucks serving up delicious Tex Mex eats.

With all this excitement going on, our Motorola Cafe was a much needed space for artists, press and VIP fans to sit back, recharge and experience Motorola products while getting interviewed by VH1′s Jim Shearer. We got a taste of some old school fashion and your favorite Motorola devices from back in the day. And what’s a SXSW party without a photobooth?

Didn’t get to stop by the Motorola Café this weekend? Check out our photos and relive the experience with us:

The Motorola Cafe @ SXSW Music Festival

March 16, 2012 : BY Motorola

We are down in Austin, Texas to take part in this year’s SXSW Music Festival!

In addition to hosting the Motorola Cafe at Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill , we’ve been walking around Austin and seeing how consumers use their devices.  Whether it’s an impromptu photo shoot on a corner or a guitar solo concert in the street, everyone is recording what they see on a smartphone.

Take a look at our photo album from Day 1, including some ‘Then and Now’ photos taken at the Motorola Cafe.

Software & Apps

In 2007, Twitter was the SXSW golden child. In 2009, Foursquare was the belle of the ball.

With this year’s SXSW right around the corner, we’ve got one question: what do you think will be this year’s hottest mobile app?

First off, you need to get there without a hitch, so the Weather Channel and TripAdvisor apps will help with that.

Once on the ground in Austin, make sure you have the official SXSW ® Go app ready to guide you through the maze.

Then check out Glancee to keep up with friends and colleagues that have the app, as well as discovering who is around you with similar interests, so you can get the most out the conference and networking.

Have fun in Austin!
