The MOTOROLA RAZR™ i: Now with Android™ 4.1 in the U.K.

UPDATE 2: We know you’re all excited about the Jelly Bean upgrade so we wanted to provide an update on the time frame. As we said, the roll out will be phased, if you bought your device from EE directly (online, phone or retail store) you will be able to upgrade now. If you bought your phone from a third party retail store, and not EE directly, or have the handset connected on a different network, you’ll receive an upgrade by early March. As ever we’ll keep you updated if anything changes.

UPDATE: Android™ 4.1 is rolling out to MOTOROLA RAZR™ i owners in Germany and France who purchased their device through retail outlets.

We’re excited to announce that MOTOROLA RAZR™ i with Intel Inside is getting upgraded to Android™ 4.1 Jelly Bean. Starting today, the upgrade will be rolled out to users in phases. Jelly Bean includes a number of fantastic new and improved features, including Google Now, Voice Search, and improved notifications. Fun with Friends : Attract Attention and Win with MOTOLUXE™ and the “What’s Your Line Up?” App

For our European readers, it’s time to find out who your real friends are with a new app from Motorola Mobility and T-Mobile UK. It’s called “What’s Your Line Up?” and it shows how your online interactions on Facebook map to the real world. It works like the Social Graph feature on MOTOLUXE™ (and all Motorola phones with the MotoSwitch user interface), which enables quick and easy access to the people you contact most frequently.

“What’s Your Line Up?” allows you to create and share a Social Graph for Facebook, where your “top friends” are based in part on:

  • The frequency of posts on your Facebook friends’ walls
  • The number of people you’ve tagged (e.g. in photos, locations etc.)

If you’re not happy with the lineup the app creates, just switch to “manual select” and hand pick the friends you want to show off most. Check it out on the Facebook page for Motorola Europe.

Need more incentive? People from the UK and Ireland who use the new “What’s Your Line Up?” app will be eligible to enter a weekly contest for a chance to win one of 10 MOTOLUXE phones!
