It’s the New Year and the reality of that aggressive resolution has set in. That’s ok. Nothing worth having comes easy. Luckily, the MOTOACTV portal is here to help. Here’s how: Workout Data The MOTOACTV device tracks and stores heartbeats, steps and strides as you walk, run and cycle. The Workouts section of the MOTOACTV.com portal then analyzes your performance data and creates useful, easy-to-understand charts, tools and programs that help you see where your strengths and weaknesses exist – and subsequently crush them. Planning Tools No excuses. No compromise. The portal allows you to schedule workouts in your planning calendar up to a month in advance to stay on track, save your routes, and introduce new workouts to keep the body guessing. “I just have too much going on and never have time” is 2011’s rationale.
Goal Setting Your fitness goals section shows a breakdown of your total weight loss, how many days you’ve worked out this week, and how many miles you’ve accomplished. Competition If your high performance playlist isn’t enough, compete with your friends for added motivation. The MOTOACTV portal provides friendly leader boards and comparisons, but you must provide the sweat in order to earn bragging rights. Trust us, having them feels good. *(Need to include as many photos of the portal as we can to demo these points)
Just for fun, we asked a few people around the office to go on the record with their fitness resolutions for 2012. Naturally, they see MOTOACTV playing a key role.

2012 fitness goal:
I always choose three words as a new year “resolution.” This year’s: Listen, Teach, Extend. My MOTOACTV will help me listen to my body and what I need to do to push myself to the next level – plus I get to rock out to music on the same device that’s tracking my workout (BONUS!). I will continue to teach others how they can reach their fitness goals. MOTOACTV will definitely be a part of that. And, I will extend my physical, mental and emotional limits while hoping to compete in my first mini triathlon (Summer) and half marathon (Fall). MOTOACTV will be there through all of it, tracking, syncing and pushing without any extra effort, which is good because I will need most of it to reach my goals.

2012 fitness goal:
My New Year’s Resolution is to run at least 15 miles a week. With my MOTOACTV I can easily track my miles both on the treadmill and outside.

2012 fitness goal:
I am an avid triathlete but my goal is pretty simple: to run outside once a week in 2012. This might seem easy but remember temperatures are not ideal for 5 months out of the year in the Chicagoland area. It is December 29th and I am still running outside so I think my chances are pretty good. MOTOACTV will help me keep track of my miles and pace while listening to my favorite music. Looking forward to December 2012 when I get to look at the MOTOACTV portal and see if indeed met my goal.
We know that the key to fitness is motivation. And MOTOACTV gives people what they need to get and stay fit. It uses GPS and Accusense™ technology to keep track of and record data like time, distance, speed, calories burned and heart rate. And its smart music player “learns” what specific tunes push people harder. So it actually creates personal, high-performance playlists that allow people to find that extra boost and feel the burn.
Best of all, you can wirelessly sync MOTOACTV with MOTOACTV.com, where you can track your workouts and see your progress over time for free. You can even set goals and challenge other MOTOACTV users to beat your stats. Game on!
Working out or getting a face wash? In the winter, it can be hard to decide which you’d rather do (especially with that Holiday to-do list constantly getting longer).
Three specific MOTOACTV features can help you feel the brrr…n, even when it’s cold.
Smart Music Player- MOTOACTV learns which songs motivate you best and creates a high-performance playlist to move you toward personal bests, whether that’s holiday jingles or the latest fist-pumping beat.

2. Audio Coach- You think it’s cold? How do you think Santa feels right now? Ok, maybe it doesn’t say that, but the audio coach helps keep you moving on your walk, run or ride with updates on your pace, split times and more, to make sure you’re not leaving anything out there on the field.
3. MOTOACTV Training Portal- Most importantly, this feature is utilized indoors. You can plan your workouts, create long-term goals and analyze your performance right online. Workout data is automatically uploaded to the site wirelessly from your device, so you can chart your progress effortlessly while sippin’ on hot cocoa.
Play the MOTOACTV game on our Facebook page and you could land yourself a free device if you’re one of the winners.
Don’t get left out in the cold this holiday season, be MOTOACTV.
Las Vegas is certainly not a candidate for America’s healthiest city. But the city played host to a marathon last weekend and the MOTOACTV team was on hand to show off MOTOACTV and give away a ton of free stuff.
The annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon drew 44,000 runners and thousands of spectators. At a companion Health and Fitness Expo, the MOTOACTV team were set up in a booth and gave an estimated 2,200 demos.
In an informal survey, the team asked people for their first impressions of MOTOACTV. Here are a few recurring comments:
The accuracy of the GPS, and that it does not require a monthly subscription.
The Smart Music Player – quick access to the songs that motivate you.
The sleek look and feel of the device – especially compared to “clunky” Garmin devices.
