The SURFboard Series of cable modems can be easily installed by residential users to support high-speed data services. The portfolio also offers powerful and flexible wireless cable modem gateways to simplify data access and home networking. Easy-to-use and simple-to-install, Motorola’s SURFboard digital voice modems support simultaneous telephone and data usage so residential users can make telephone calls over broadband Internet connection.

Operators can consolidate diverse residential access traffic flows at the distribution hub and route them onto the metro network using the Broadband Services Router 64000 BSR 64000. This DOCSIS® and PacketCable™-qualified CMTS/edge router enables sophisticated tiered data services with flexible QoS control. It allows broadband providers to deliver IP end-to-end from the network edge to the network core. The SmartFlow® features of the BSR 64000 enable per-flow queuing, advanced scheduling, and congestion control capabilities. Operators can schedule these flows to avoid congestion across the metropolitan network and deliver guaranteed service levels for data, voice, and multimedia services. They can also extend the service area by deploying the BSR 2000. This compact CMTS and edge router provides many of the robust features of the BSR 64000 in a low-cost, highly dense platform.
