Horizon Core

Horizon Core SGSN
Motorola's SGSN provides access for both GSM and UMTS data services. It mediates access to network resources on behalf of mobile subscribers (MS) and implements packet scheduling based on different QoS classes.

Circuit Home Location Register

Horizon Core Home Location Register
The Horizon Core Home Location Register (HLR) integrates the logical functions of the traditional HLR with the functionality of the Authentication Centre (AUC).

Horizon Core

Horizon Core GGSN
Motorola’s GGSN provides the logical network point for GPRS capable GSM and UMTS HSPA networks, interconnecting to the Internet and Service Provider specific data content.

MOTOLocator

Horizon OMC
Motorola’s intelligent Operation and Maintenance Center provides a fully featured common management system platform for both Motorola’s 3G and 2G network layers.

Horizon Core

Horizon Core Charging Gateway
Motorola's Charging GateWay (CGW) is a high capacity billing gateway that provides Call Detail Record (CDR) storage and conversion capabilities. It can connect with a billing center via a number of file transfer protocols and interacts with GPRS Support Nodes (GSN) to provide a high capacity CDR storage medium and billing interface.

Media Gateway

Horizon Core Media Gateway

The Horizon Core Media Gateway (MGW) converts service bearers, enables interworking between bearers, and processes service stream formats. It is a GSM and UMTS HSPA capable network element and is part of Motorola's end to end solution for both these technologies.

Horizon Core

Horizon Core MSC Server

Combined with the Horizon Core Media Gateway the MSC Server completes Motorola's Softswitch solution for GSM and UMTS HSPA. Fully compliant with 3GPP R6 specifications the MSC Server offers a high availablity, scaleable control platform for call processing and network call routing.
