BEFORE SENDING YOUR PHONE FOR REPAIR
Before you send in your phone for repair, please take a moment to read the information below - it may save you time, trouble and money.
First, is your phone in warranty?
Most new Motorola phones come with a one-year warranty from purchase date. Click here to check your phone's manufacture date. If your phone was made more than a year ago, but you purchased it new in the past year, you can confirm your warranty status by providing proof of purchase during the repair submission process. Note that some Motorola phones have shorter warranties, so check the warranty that came with your phone.
Second, can your phone be repaired, and should we do it?
Phones sent to Motorola for repair fall into these main buckets:
A. Phones that we can't fix. Most of these are moisture damaged or have been physically abused, which voids the warranty. These are returned unrepaired. Click here to see if your phone is un-repairable - this may save you the time and trouble of sending in a phone we can't repair.
B. Phones you may be able to fix by updating the phone's software. Click here to see if there is updated software for your phone.

Cost
Motorola repairs in-warranty phones free of charge. In some cases, Motorola can repair out-of-warranty (OOW) phones as well. The OOW fee is $75 and in many cases, it's well worth it - Motorola phones are built to last.
You may also consider a new phone instead of repair. Given the fast-changing mobile industry, an upgrade might be in order. Click here to visit Motorola's online store, where you can investigate and price a new phone.
