1973 - Motorola established a sales office in Singapore with only six staff.
1983 - Motorola Electronics Pte Ltd was incorporated with a total of 61 staff.
1984 - Motorola leased a facility in Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 1 and started producing microelectronics circuits and assemblies for paging and two-way radio products.

1986 - Motorola's Ang Mo Kio premises was officially inaugurated by BG Lee Hsien Loong.

1988 - Motorola delivered the 100,000th pager to Singapore Telecom.
  - Motorola received two Motorola CEO Awards for significantly reducing defects within 2 years and for achieving Six Sigma Quality for the Genesis Charger.
1989 - The Cellular Subscriber Group established its Asia Pacific Headquarters in Singapore.
  - The first in-house robotics placement machines were developed as part of efforts to replace manual labour, increase product quality and reliability.
1990 - Motorola won the Singapore Design Award Certificate of Merit conferred by the Trade Development Board for the Keynote Voice Pager
  - Motorola received a CEO Award for Six Sigma Quality for the Keynote Charger
1991 - Motorola won the National Training Award.
1992 - A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new seven-storey Motorola Innovation Centre at Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 3.

  - Motorola received the National Productivity Award.
1993 - Motorola was awarded the Operational Headquarters (OHQ) status by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
  - The Motorola Manufacturing Systems Asia facility was established.
1994 - The Motorola Innovation Centre at Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 3 was officially opened.
  - Motorola established the Asia Pacific Headquarters for the Radio Products Group.
  - Motorola the Outstanding Quality Circle (QC) Organisation of the Year Award.

  - Motorola launched the Motorola Green Bus program, an environmental education project for primary school children. For its efforts, Motorola received the Green Leaf Award from the Ministry of Environment and a Motorola CEO Award.

1996 - Motorola won the prestigious Singapore Quality Award, given to Singapore-based companies for outstanding performance in quality.
  - Motorola received two CEO awards for achieving Six Sigma quality in Glob TOP IC package assembly process, and for achieving 10 times reduction in saw defects.

1997 - Motorola won the Distinguished Partner in Progress Award for significant contributions to the progress of Singapore's economy
  - Motorola won the Friend of the Arts Award for substantial contributions to the promotion of the arts in Singapore
  - Motorola became the first official communications equipment sponsor for National Day Parade

1998 - ServiceOne was launched as a one-stop centre for all aftermarket services & original accessories for Motorola mobile phones, pagers, two-way radios and data modems.
1999 - Motorola won the Technology Achievement Award for significant contributions to R&D efforts in Singapore.
  - Motorola won the Singapore H.E.A.LT.H. (Helping Employees Achieve Lifetime Health) Award (Gold) for excellence in promoting a healthy lifestyle at the workplace.
2000 - Motorola received the International Trade Award for contributions to Singapore's economic prosperity through international trade.
  - Motorola won the Technology Achievement Award for the second consecutive year.
  - Motorola won the Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H. Award (Gold) for the second consecutive year.
2001 -

The Global Software Group (Singapore) achieved Maturity Level 5, the highest possible rating in the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model (SEI-CMM®) for Software.

  - Motorola received the Corporate Bronze Award from the Community Chest for commendable fund-raising efforts for the less fortunate.
  - Motorola received the Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H. Award (Gold) for the third consecutive year.
2002 - Motorola Singapore unveiled the world's first on-chip Bluetooth-ready application processor - the Dragonball MX1 that is designed by the company's IC Design Center.

  - Over 1,300 Motorola employees participated in a fund-raising walkathon in aid of the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS).

Motorola celebrated its 75th Anniversary globally and its 30th Anniversary in Singapore.

Motorola received the Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H. Award (Platinum) in October 2003.

Motorola was awarded the International Headquarters (IHQ) status by the Singapore Government which marked a renewal of its commitment to Singapore.

  - Motorola opened its first International Trading Centre in Singapore.
2004 -

 

3G R&D Centre

The inauguration ceremony of the 3G R&D Center was held on November 19, 2004. The center is the only one in Asia outside Japan that is dedicated to the development of 3G handsets.

- For its efforts in corporate social responsibility, Motorola received the Corporate Citizenship Award from the US Embassy in Singapore and the Motorola CEO Award for Volunteerism.
2005 - Motorola opened the Customer Solutions Center which customizes mobile phone solutions and applications for High Growth Markets.
- Motorola won Gold at the 8th Asian Innovation Awards held during Global Entrepolis in Singapore for its finger-writing recognition technology.
2006 - Motorola announced the world's first commercial implementation of PacketCable MultiMedia (PCMM) through deployment of an end-to-end solution with StarHub of Singapore


New Global Supply Chain Hub

- Motorola announced that Singapore will be the hub for its global supply chain activities.
- Motorola received the Distinguished Partner for Defence Award and the Work-Life Achiever Award.
