Solid Approaches to Software Architecture |
| |
|
| |
Dr.
John Waclawsky is an architect of the future. More than 25 years
research, consulting and deployment experience in networking as
well as wireless, architecture, fault tolerance, protocol and
performance analysis have led him to a greater understanding
and deeper appreciation of Motorola’s Seamless Mobility
vision. As the leader of a team in the Motorola Business Units
and Labs, John is constructing unique software architecture for
Seamless Mobility, one that will translate easily across Motorola’s
business units for coordinated product and solution development.
“The focus is on developing a practical approach,”
says John. |

Understanding Seamless Mobility |
| |
|
|
Software is a critical component that unifies all the moving parts in Motorola’s Seamless Mobility vision. The goal is to create valuable end-to-end solutions and provide the necessary architecture for this vision in order to accommodate the many technologies in diverse devices and networks.
“Motorola has a clear and compelling vision for Seamless Mobility. It will require a total company focus on a unified software architecture to deliver reference design elements across all Motorola products,” says John. He knows his work is crucial to the growth of Seamless Mobility. John’s software architecture is designed to strategically leverage Motorola software assets, and promote their large-scale re-use. It will also enable mutual understanding by providing coherent Seamless Mobility guidance to the company at large. |
