Mobile Internet Framework
The Mobile Internet Framework consists of a Communications Sub-Layer and an Applications Sub-Layer.
The Communications Sub-Layer supports various protocols, enabling access and interaction with gateways and proxies on the Internet. It also provides security and authentication services.
The Applications Sub-Layer is designed to interpret and render multiple markup languages, including WML 1.3, WML Script 1.2.1, xHTML- basic, iHTML and cHTML.
The Mobile Internet Browser is based on the Mobile Internet Framework which provides the core engine which ensures optimal re-use of Core Framework services across applications. In addition, the Mobile Internet Framework also provides a set of well-defined APIs for integrating other Internet applications such as MMS, IM, and SyncML.
