DVi1000
 The Motorola DVi1000 DVB digital, terminal platform is specially designed for systems that deliver secure video and interactive broadcast services over DVB-compliant CATV networks. Motorola's DVi1000 supports a wide range of symbol rates (up to 7.0 Mbps), and decodes standard MPEG-2 transport streams including most audio/video decoder formats. Additionally, it is designed to support third-party Conditional Access Systems (CAS). The Motorola DVi1000 set-top is engineered and manufactured using highly integrated components and software technologies to minimize operational field costs and increase reliability.
The DVi1000: - Adds a new level of processing and networking power to Motorola's industry-leading, interactive, digital cable platform
- Supports a range of operating systems, middleware and other open software interfaces such as HTML and Java scriptingTM
- Gives return path, via PSTN telco modem v.22 bis
- Allows conditional access, using DVB-compliant MediaCipher® embedded or via a Smart Card
- Facilitates third-party conditional access available through a Smart Card
- Open and flexible software platform, possessing downloadable software for interactive services
DVi3000
Motorola's DVi3000 is a next-generation, DVB-compliant, thin-client, interactive set-top terminal that enables operators to easily satisfy consumer demands for enhanced services. Its key functionalities are controlled by the 150+ MIPS microprocessor that enables expanded channel capacity and virtual channel capabilities. Motorola's DVi3000 is packed with optional return paths for individual customer selection, including: onboard, real-time RF; telco-return; and 10Base-T Ethernet through an external cable modem.
The DVi3000 supports store-and-forward and real-time, reverse-path communications, which provide a gateway to interactive services such as Video on Demand, thin-client TV-based Internet and electronic program guides.
