At Motorola, we believe being a world-class company takes more than just creating innovative and successful products. It also means acting on the role we can play in enhancing the vitality of the communities where we do business.
Formed in 1953, the Motorola Foundation has had a profound impact on thousands of lives around the world. Today, the company’s philanthropic arm focuses its funding on education, especially programs that support math and science teacher-training programs and charitable organizations that excite young people about these subjects.
Through the foundation, Motorola nurtures relationships with local, national and international non-profit organizations — to extend resources to communities in need and to help expand the scope of their missions. We support important causes in three ways: 1) Through cash donations; 2) Through product donations; and, 3) By enabling employees to participate in volunteer and charitable-giving programs.
Governance for the Motorola Foundation is handled by the Motorola Foundation Board of Directors and the Motorola Giving Committee.
