Introduction
As a responsible corporate citizen, Motorola is committed to the safety of our people and the protection of the environment. One of the many programs initiated is the ‘ECOMOTO Takeback’.
What is ECOMOTO Takeback?
ECOMOTO Takeback is a tool for customers to recycle end-of-life products.
What are the objectives of ECOMOTO Takeback?
What is the scope of ECOMOTO Takeback?
End-of-life Motorola products such as mobile phones, two-way radios, broadband devices, batteries, network equipment and accessories such as chargers, hands-free accessories, and cables.
How does ECOMOTO Takeback work?
This program is designed to be very simple and convenient for the consumers. When a Motorola product reaches end of life, drop into an ECOMOTO Takeback bin. Authorized contractors will collect and transport these items to approved recycling facilities.
How do I get rid of end-of-life products?
Small products such as mobile phones, two-way radios, batteries and accessories can be dropped into our ECOMOTO Takeback bins at selected locations, which are listed at our Motorola website. For larger products such as broadband devices and network equipment, please Contact Us.
What are the benefits of ECOMOTO Takeback?
Our goal is to protect our environment.
Motorola responsibly designs our products in strict accordance with regulations and standards to protect human health and the environment. Electrical and electronic equipment may still contain substances that, if mismanaged, are not beneficial to the environment. In sufficient quantities of these substances over time, could harm the environment. As a responsible corporate citizen, we have a responsibility to do what we can to minimize potential negative risks. Furthermore, Motorola products contain materials that can be reused and recycled to complete the loop and reduce the pressure on resources.
At Motorola, the recycle-and-reuse process is done even before environmental laws and regulations make it mandatory to do so and before environmental quality is made a trade pre-requisite. Motorola is committed to continuous efforts to prevent environmental pollution and make all of its products “green” or environmental friendly.
What happens at the recycling facility?

Conclusion
Motorola is committed to being a partner on protecting our environment, safety and health.
ECOMOTO Takeback is but one of the many initiatives that Motorola is undertaking to ensure that the world remains a safe place for now and for the coming generations.
