Motorola Global Applications Management Architecture

Motorola Global Applications Management Architecture (GAMA) is a comprehensive Service Delivery Platform (SDP) that supports Motorola’s Service Enabling Solutions. This represents Motorola’s single and integrated service delivery infrastructure that offers major functionality in the following areas:
  • An Applications Development Environment(ADE) to develop the applications
  • A Federated Identity Management and Policy tool to manage the end user identify and the circle of trusted partners
  • A W3C compliant Web Services protocol suite for access to Web Services
  • A value chain management tool able to support the business policies and utilization rules for third party applications and content in an automated manner

Motorola’s Service Enabling Solutions are built on GAMA and enables a portfolio of solutions that facilitate collaboration among multiple parties and simplify the creation and delivery of a wide range of mobile data services.

Motorola’s Service Enabling Solutions are unique in the industry in their ability to provide the integration and interoperability between the application development environment, the Web Services protocol standards, the Federated Identity Management tool and the Application Value Chain Management services, all in one integrated set of solutions.

Together, they constitute a unified solution set that opens the door to the next generation of applications.

GAMA enables the four cornerstones of Service Enabling Solutions:

  • Service Delivery Enablement – a suite of development, runtime, and management applications that deliver the framework for the exciting new mobile applications that enable network operators to continually introducing new service offerings to lead the market
  • Web Services – a suite of W3C Web Services compliant industry standard capabilities that make it easy for mobile data applications to find and access published services on the Web, regardless of where they are located, without having to redevelop them
  • Identity and Policy Management – a Federated Identity Management and Policy Management tool for creating an automated end user mobile experience in accessing services and conducting online business transactions. This tool helps establish a circle of trusted ecommerce vendors who can automatically share end user information securely and confidentially, so end users can seamlessly conduct mobile transactions.
  • Application Value Chain Management – a set of policies and tools that empower service providers to govern, control and reap the financial benefits from the multiple third parties cooperating to create and deliver the services customers want

In addition, Motorola GAMA is also device independent, allowing operators to launch new services with existing devices and networks (including JAVA™, WAP and legacy phones), then easily adapt services as you upgrade to 3G. Because Motorola GAMA simplifies provisioning, authentication, billing and security, introducing and promoting new services and refreshing existing services is faster and easier. So operators can develop and provide a wide array of services to attract different user segments, and ensure that the end-user experience is always rich and fresh.

Motorola GAMA supports the fast, cost-effective development, management and delivery of value-added data services. Motorola enables this with it’s core product platform which helps operators to reduce total cost of ownership, as well as, Motorola’s professional services to meet operators business goals. Motorola also focuses on the developer, which helps attract best-in-class applications and personalized content and our comprehensive end-to-end solution utilizes our in-depth wireless networking expertise and experience.
