Global Markets

MiBAS was built from the ground up in response to the challenges of the rapidly converging telecom industry.

Motorola’s Network Services Applications (NSA), established in 1997 to develop and deploy integrated billing and provisioning solutions, is globally recognized for its rapid implementation and time-to-market and for being highly responsive to customers’ business needs.

Its modular and scalable solution, combined with open architecture, provides flexible configuration and integration options with any external applications and software packages supporting the latest technology, including Next Generation Networks (NGN) and telecom applications and services.

Geographically, MiBAS installed base includes operations in Asia, Africa, Latin America, North America, Europe and Australia.

Convergent Wireless Services

MiBAS provides wireless operators offering wireless telephony, dispatch and data services across iDEN, GSM, TETRA and ASTRO networks the capabilities to accelerate provisioning, process information originating from multiple network elements, perform cross-segmental, feature-rich rating and present convergent billing to their customers.

With a single entry transaction, MiBAS enables streamlined multi-service activation for multi-networks.

Managing multiple wireless networks and supporting a broad scope of wireless services while securing profits has become increasingly challenging. With MiBAS, operators can rapidly address customer needs, offer emerging data and content services, and better control their revenue streams.

MiBAS' modular and scalable solutions serve operations ranging from domestic to nationwide networks. Its open architecture provides flexible configuration and integration with various applications and software packages.

iDEN

Introduced in 1994, Motorola's renowned Integrated Digital Enhanced Network (iDEN™) for wireless solutions spans a variety of mobile business applications. iDEN's multifaceted, best-in-class technology serves cellular telephony, voice mail, digital two-way radio, mobile Internet and e-mail.

MiBAS supports all iDEN services and is the primary source for provisioning and billing solutions in this market segment.

Developed by, and through the unique know-how of, iDEN-savvy professionals, MiBAS is at the nexus of iDEN and CC&B systems. Evidencing itself in MiBAS' rich-and unique-functionality, the hands-on expertise of our professionals in iDEN networks yields significant value for iDEN network operators. By choosing a Motorola solution, iDEN operators benefit from ongoing professional cooperation between iDEN's and MiBAS' engineering teams, thereby ensuring that their billing and provisioning applications will support new iDEN features and releases.

TETRA

Defined by the European Telecommunications Standardization Institute (ETSI) and widely deployed in Europe and Asia, Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) is an open, digital and trunked radio standard designed to meet the needs of professional mobile radio users. Dimetra IP , Motorola’s TETRA solution, unites voice, messaging, mobile, applications and image transmission in a single network.

MiBAS’ install base and track record in wireless networks offering convergent services show a long-standing vote of confidence from customers who continually deploy its solutions for multiple wireless telephony services, digital two-way radios and packet data for private and commercial, public networks.

Providing comprehensive functionality, MiBAS' billing and provisioning solutions range from provisioning and activating subscriber units, through rate plan management, billing mediation, calculation of charges and control to inquiries and traffic analysis. Designed to address network inherent needs, MiBAS' unique features include split billing, charging dispatch calls as well as Packet Data usage and free usage allocation and pooling.

Deploying MiBAS means using one centralized system to manage a single or numerous TETRA networks, ensuring data integrity through a single database, simplifying network operation and reducing costs. Based on an open, distributed (modular) architecture, MiBAS easily interfaces with external applications and future Dimetra IP elements.
