Motorola’s MOTOSYNC™ Provides
Direct Wireless Mobile Connectivity to Industry-Leading Microsoft Exchange
Server 2003
LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. –
November 29, 2004 – Today, Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), a global leader in
wireless, broadband and automotive communications technologies, announced
interoperability between Motorola’s MOTOSYNC™ technology-enabled
mobile phones and Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. The agreement with Microsoft
to license the Exchange Server ActiveSync® protocol enables Motorola mobile
phones to give enterprise customers direct seamless access to Microsoft Exchange
Server 2003.
“MOTOSYNC-enabled mobile
phones will make life simpler and smarter for mobile professionals. In support
of wireless e-mail and office productivity, this solution combines a great
phone-first experience with connected messaging and will be available to
customers initially with the Motorola A780 mobile phone starting in 2005,”

Motorola’s highly successful mass-market mobile devices with the
established leadership of Exchange Server within the corporate e-mail server
market.”

implemented wireless e-mail while simultaneously lowering IT costs by
eliminating the need for
middleware.”
MOTOSYNC is a secure,
over-the-air synchronization framework that is designed to be seamlessly
interoperable with leading corporate messaging solutions to provide
always-up-to-date wireless e-mail, personal information, and group calendar on
Motorola mobile phones.
