Motorola's Innovative Convergence™ Platform

Texas - April 23, 2003 - EASTERN Telecom, one of Korea's most creative original
device manufacturers (ODMs), became the latest company to adopt Motorola, Inc.'s
(NYSE:MOT) Innovative Convergence™ platforms. EASTERN Telecom plans to
rapidly develop its customers' advanced wireless handsets for delivery of voice
and high-speed data services using the i.200 and i.250 platforms for 2G and 2.5G
mobile devices.

The
advanced i.250 platform for GSM enhanced voice and GPRS voice and data cellular
handsets and smartphones make it possible for EASTERN Telecom to offer a
comprehensive product portfolio with GPRS rich-data features such as Wireless
Application Protocol (WAP), Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS), and Multimedia
Messaging Service (MMS). In addition, Motorola's i.250 platform is designed to
enable EASTERN Telecom to decrease time to market and reduce systems costs
through a lower component count.
