Motorola BSR 64000 CMTS/Router Platform
Selected by Cox Communications for Broad Deployment Throughout Cable
System

Latest Cox Location to Commit to Motorola’s BSR 64000
ANAHEIM, Ca. – 3 Dec. 2003 –
Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) Broadband Communications Sector today announced that
Cox Communications, Inc. (NYSE: COX) has again selected the Motorola Broadband
Services Router (BSR) 64000 for deployment of advanced IP services to their
subscribers. With its latest rollout to customers in the operator’s
Phoenix, Arizona system, Cox has now deployed the Motorola BSR 64000 in San
Diego, Las Vegas, Omaha, Cleveland, Fort Walton, Fl. and New England.
Cox Communications selected the Motorola BSR
64000 because of the platform’s high reliability, stability and
performance in supporting a portion of Cox’s High-Speed Internet customers
over the past two years. The architecture of the Motorola BSR 64000 platform
– with its full redundancy and advanced routing – enables Cox to
cost-effectively support a rapidly growing customer base of residential and
commercial high speed data customers.
