And Award-Winning Exquisite Corpse
M3
Summit, MIAMI, -- March 8, 2004 -- Motorola and MTV International today
announced that Motorola will be the exclusive provider of MTV-created wireless
content including an interactive series of games known as
PlastikültureTM, and a wireless component of the award-winning
MTV Exquisite Corpse image campaign (ex. US, Canada and Japan). The content
will be pre-loaded on select new Motorola handsets and available for download at
www.hellomoto.com outside
the US by this summer.
Leveraging MTV’s
creativity and knowledge of the ever-evolving music and lifestyle scene, and
Motorola’s technology innovation and personalization intelligence, the two
companies launched a three year multi-million dollar global marketing alliance
outside the US in 2003, aimed at radically accelerating the way people use and
view their mobile phone.
The new MTV
International PlastikültureTM content is a series of mobile
games that will be available worldwide (excluding USA, Canada and Japan) and
will be preloaded onto the Motorola E398, C650, V220 and E680 in Latin
America, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Motorola’s E398
handset in Europe and the model C650 in Asia and Latin America. The first game
in the PlastikültureTM series is HairstylerTM, an
interactive character driven story that relies on player’s speed and
memory. The next in the series of PlastikültureTM games,
TroubleMakerTM, will be pre-loaded onto the Motorola E398 in
Asia.
PlastikültureTM has been
developed for TV, handsets and the web, to enhance the experience and include
value-added continuity codes which offer free download bonuses with content
options such as story backgrounds, screensavers and cartoons.
PlastikültureTM will be supported on air and via a Web site
localized in 11 languages, providing more insight into character personalities
– www.plastikulture.com
(launching May 1, 2004).
Motorola handsets,
outside of the US, will also feature MTV’s award winning Exquisite Corpse
campaign. Originally part of MTV’s 2003 global branding campaign,
Exquisite Corpse is a unique series of spots produced by 16 international MTV
creative teams. The resulting campaign won Best Creative Promotion Campaign at
Resfest 2003. Exquisite Corpse wallpaper, screensavers, ringtones and video will
be embedded onto Motorola handsets in Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe,
Middle East and Africa (Motorola E398, C650, V220 and E680) and supported online
through www.hellomoto.com and
www.exquisitemtv.com.
