Motorola and Grupo Antolin Form Strategic
Alliance to Jointly Develop Interior Systems for the Automotive
Industry
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. AND
BURGOS, SPAIN, March 15, 2004 -- Motorola, Inc. and Grupo Antolin announced
today that they have signed a global agreement to integrate Motorola’s
in-vehicle interior electronics into Grupo Antolin’s systems portfolio.
The new relationship will provide automobile manufacturers with an easier and
more cost-effective way to source products for vehicles.
Motorola will embed its interior electronics
into Grupo Antolin’s systems portfolio including, Motorola’s seat
zone modules; door zone modules that control door lock and unlock, power window
and side-view mirrors; and overhead controls.
The strategic move enables Grupo Antolin and
Motorola to provide their customers with high-quality interior electronics, and
strengthen the supply chain for their respective customers by reducing the
number of suppliers.
