MOTONEXT at CeBIT: Seamless Connectivity to
Unleash Personal Potential Via
Technology
CeBIT, Germany - 18th March,
2004 - Motorola Inc. (NYSE:MOT) is showcasing the latest Intelligence
EverywhereTM solutions that inspire new possibilities in a seamlessly
connected world, keeping consumers informed, connected and entertained in their
home, vehicle, at work and on the go. Motorola’s new Wi-FiTM,
3G, BluetoothTM and Push-to-Talk over TETRA and Cellular (PoC)
solutions work together to create what were previously unimaginable consumer
experiences which make people’s lives smarter, simpler and more
synchronised.
Motorola is putting entertainment
in your pocket with the new model E398, E680 and C650 mobile phones. Inspired
by consumers’ passion for music and entertainment, and designed to
maximize Motorola’s tie up with MTV, the funky new phones bring a world of
music, video, gaming and photos to you on the move. Delivering the ultimate in
sensory experience through advanced sound and lighting technology, these cool
new handsets boast built in MP3 players, video playback, high quality colour
displays, removable and expandable memory and the ability to download the latest
games.
Motorola takes the world of seamless
connectivity on the road with its demonstration of the “connected car of
the future”. For the first time, auto makers will see how communications
technology is integrated throughout the car so that sections of the car can talk
to each other and to the outside world intelligently. In this demonstration,
Motorola will also show how Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology can link the car and
home invisibly to provide new simple and easy experiences to consumers.
For instance, once the car has been docked,
(rather than parked) Motorola’s new range of broadband wireless home
networking products extend the interconnectivity from the home into the car.
Motorola’s wireless cable modem gateways, routers and other wireless
products enable the consumer to share their broadband connection throughout the
home, swap music, information and images with the car, their wireless phone or
any other compatible wireless device or
application.
Motorola supports this seamless
world with its leading infrastructure technology. At the show, Motorola will
demonstrate PoC as well as high speed 3G technology.
Epitomising the intelligence everywhere that
this connected world enables, Motorola and T Systems will demonstrate how they
can provide emergency service workers with data and images wherever they are.
Mugshots, medical data and fingerprint files can be sent to Motorola’s new
GPS enabled TETRA terminal, the MTH800, instantly giving police, fire and
ambulance workers the information they need to do their job as effectively as
possible.
Mike Zafirovski, Motorola’s
President and Chief Operating Officer said “At CeBIT this year, Motorola
is demonstrating how our products can enable people to unleash their personal
potential in a seamlessly connected world. Today’s generation expect to be
able to access the information they want, when they want it, and Motorola is
making that possible.”
