Motorola BSR 64000 Earns DOCSIS® 2.0 Qualification from CableLabs® in Certification Wave 30

HORSHAM, Pa., 13 September 2004 — Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced that the Broadband Services Router BSR 64000 has been qualified for DOCSIS® 2.0 systems by CableLabs® in the recently completed Certification Wave 30.

The qualification recognizes the Motorola BSR 64000 as interoperable with DOCSIS 2.0-based headends, customer premise equipment (CPE), and operations support systems (OSS) equipment. DOCSIS 2.0 provides up to three times greater upstream capacity than DOCSIS 1.0/1.1 devices, in supported cable systems.
