Chicago Says HelloMoto: Motorola Unveils Destination Q on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile

Consumers Invited to Step Inside the Motorola Brand with Innovative Experiential Space

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. – June 1, 2006 – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced plans to open a pop-up retail location, dubbed Destination Q, in its hometown of Chicago on June 8th. Located at 666 North Michigan Avenue, Destination Q will give consumers an exclusive opportunity to experience the Motorola brand brought to life through in-depth, customized and hands-on experiences with its game-changing product line lead by the new Motorola Q™.

“Motorola stretches the boundaries with innovative products and cool experiences that delight and surprise,” said Ron Garriques, president, Mobile Devices, Motorola, Inc. “Destination Q is the first in a series of experiential locations we will bring to consumers, giving them an ‘all-access pass’ to the Motorola brand and its products.”

Taking advantage of a historic marquee location in the heart of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, Destination Q will transform the former Terra Museum into a real-life manifestation of the Motorola brand. Inside, Motorola experts will guide guests with hands-on demonstrations of Moto music, video, email on-the-go*, IM* and Internet access* all via the Motorola Q. Service experts from Verizon Wireless also will be available to demonstrate the power of the Motorola Q coupled with the Verizon Wireless broadband-speed wireless data network. Whether they want to download video*, set up multiple email accounts* for business and pleasure, or pair the device with Bluetooth® stereo accessories** – guests will immerse themselves in all that is Motorola and its latest “whoa” product.

Adding to the interactive experience, guests will be able to sample a variety of content including video, Internet updates and music at the innovative Moto Q bar. In the Moto Q lounge, guests can sit back and soak in the high-energy of Destination Q. Most importantly, guests can purchase a Motorola Q working on the Verizon Wireless network as well as other
