Motorola Turns Heads with New
Collection
KRAKOW, Poland – 6
February 2004 – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) today announced five stylish new
additions to its handset and accessories range, based on Motorola’s
leading design and technology philosophy. The exclusive preview was made in
Krakow, Poland, where Motorola held a private viewing for 100 journalists from
Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The latest
additions to Motorola’s 2004 product line-up
include:
° The innovative Motorola V80
defies convention with its sleek black look, rotating cover, compact design
and one touch embedded VGA camera. A flick of a finger transforms this stylish
mobile phone from closed to its elegant full-size position and one slight
rotation of the cover transforms it into a one-touch camera. The Motorola V80
is the ideal companion for style seekers, with its head-turning cover design,
eye-catching contextual lighting, internal antenna, elegant finishes and always
visible color display. Its integrated Bluetooth® capabilities means users
can connect completely wirelessly to compatible headsets, car kits and more
– allowing them to really make a statement on the
move.
° The Motorola V220, strikes
a balance between style, power, fun and affordability. It is the ideal mobile
companion for savvy professionals who are always on-the-go. Featuring an
integrated VGA camera and photo messaging, the Motorola V220 allows users to
easily share their most important memories with the people that matter. With
GSM/tri-band technology, the Motorola V220 has the style and tools to keep users
connected with friends and colleagues wherever they are. Its vibrant, large
colour display, MP3 ringtones and vibration and lighting technology make the
Motorola V220 come to life whether gaming, texting or talking – offering
users a complete sensory experience.
° The
third model making its debut in Krakow is the Motorola V180. This new
mobile offers the mass market a chic choice for mobile connectivity inside a
customizable clamshell design. The Motorola V180 features MP3 ringtones,
downloadable games, a color screen and much more making it the preferred choice
for the fashion-forward, value-conscious consumer.
° The new limited edition Motorola
V600 Black handset is set to continue the black minimalist tradition
delivering the world’s most stylish limited edition mobile phone.
Minimalism in black is an enduring style heritage, evoking intrigue, mystery,
allure and sophistication. Since the little black dress was introduced in 1926,
black has been the keynote colour of eternal glamour. The Motorola V600 Black
has quad-band capability and enhanced integrated camera, allowing you to snap
incredibly vivid photos and send them instantly. This handset will be
available in the European region.
° The
latest addition to Motorola’s Bluetooth® portfolio – the
HS820 Bluetooth® Headset – is convenient and intelligent,
offering users wireless conversation at an affordable cost. The compact HS820
Bluetooth® Headset enables quick and easy connections by allowing users to
manage their incoming and outgoing calls with a button on the headset up to 10
meters away from their mobile phone. The Motorola HS820 Bluetooth® Headset
features an ergonomic design that easily adjusts on either the left or right
ear. Plus, with Bluetooth® 1.2 compatibility, users can benefit from
enriched technology that provides faster connections for up to six
hours.
This exclusive product unveiling was
part of Motorola’s Art of The Mobile exhibition in Krakow, Poland, which
showcased mobile art by local artists. Motorola worked with Krakow-based
photography curator Alexander Ante, organiser of Photomonth, an annual festival
dedicated to emerging photography. Alexander worked with eight specially
selected professional photographers to produce a photography collection with
Motorola mobile phones, which will be exhibited in Krakow in February
2004.
Bogdan Krezel, Sylwia Kowalczyk, Gawel
Kownacki, Agata Pankiewicz, Marcin Przybylko, Bartek, Alicja Szwinta and Joanna
Zak-Twarog all created their images using Motorola camera phones.
Poland is a growing market for the European
mobile phone industry and the Krakow location shares many of the chic, stylish
and independent qualities of Motorola’s new products.
