Motorola and T-Mobile Announce Exclusive Commercial Launch of the Motorola E398

The Music Mobile That Delivers a Complete Sound Experience to the Palm of Your Hand

Basingstoke, UK , 25th August 2004 – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), a global leader in wireless communications and T-Mobile International, one of the world’s leading companies in mobile communications, today announced the availability of the Motorola E398 exclusive to T-Mobile’s customers across Europe. Complete with a spacious colour display, 3D stereo surround sound vibration sensory technology, an integrated MP3 player, MPEG 4 video playback and advanced rhythm lights, the Motorola E398 is designed to maximize the T-Mobile music experience while providing on-the-go connectivity.

The Motorola E398 further enhances the users listening pleasure by coming with exclusive pre-loaded music content from MTV, and several artists. In the box it includes a stereo headset, 64MB TransFlash™ memory card and SD card adaptor.

Boasting an integrated VGA quality digital camera with light, Multi-media Messaging Service (MMS) and integrated graphics accelerator for superb picture quality, the Motorola E398 not only promises to provide mobile entertainment, but also to deliver the mobile photo power to capture memorable moments and easily share with friends and family.

The E398 is one of the latest “must have” mobile handsets that allows T-Mobile customers to easily get hold of new and exclusive wireless content from the company’s mobile multimedia services t-zones via the t-zones hotkey.

Pricing and Availability
The Motorola E398 is available from the end of August exclusively to T-Mobile in their European territories, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Croatia and Slovakia. The handset will be available from free for pay-monthly customers (dependant upon tariff) and comes with a range of free pre-loaded music content and games, including Wakeboarding and a fun MTV photo edit application.
