Operations: Other environmental impacts

Other environmental impacts from our operations include:

• General and hazardous waste
• Water use
• Waste water
• Volatile organic material emissions

We set reduction goals for general and hazardous waste.

We have achieved our goal of minimal emissions of volatile organic compounds. Nearly all of the water we use is for sanitary purposes, not manufacturing, and thus we no longer have a water-reduction goal.

We have permits to discharge our sanitary wastewater to public sewer systems. At a few facilities, we treat industrial and sanitary waste water onsite.
