We require high labor and environmental standards in our own operations and make concerted efforts to drive improvements. And we expect our suppliers to do the same, as reflected in our supplier code of conduct. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it also helps us maintain high quality and continuity of supply.

Motorola also is actively involved in tackling these issues at the industry level, joining forces with other electronics companies to help develop a common set of tools and processes, promote best practices and avoid duplication of effort and cost. Therefore, we participate in the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI), an industry collaboration, and co-lead the organization's supply chain working group.
